The Blog page serves as a central landing page for your most recent posts. You can customize its template using the theme’s available features and settings.
Customize template settings
In the theme editor (Edit theme), open Blogs, then Default blog.
In the left sidebar, select Blog pages to open the template’s main settings. This section displays the list of blog posts shown on the page.
There are two layouts available for this page: Grid and Feed. The Grid layout shows three blog posts per row on desktop and one per row on mobile, while the Feed layout displays a single post per row on all devices.
The Posts slider lets you choose the number of blog posts to display per page, between 3 and 18.
Enable Show tag filter to display a tag dropdown beside the page title, allowing customers to filter blog posts by tag.
Shopify automatically creates an RSS feed for every blog, allowing customers to subscribe and receive updates when new posts are published. Turning on Show RSS link displays the link on the page.
Enable Show tags to include a compilation of the blog tags displayed at the bottom of each post. Tags can be added and managed when you edit a blog post in the Shopify admin.
Enable Show date to include the date published label for the post.
Enable Show comment count to display the total number of comments left for the post.
Enable Show author to include the publishing staff member's name for the post.
Enable Show excerpt to display a summary of the blog post beneath the title. To change the excerpt, open the blog post in the Shopify admin and edit the excerpt section.
The Image size dropdown controls the size and shape of the blog images. You can choose between the following options:
- Natural
- Square (1:1)
- Landscape (4:3)
- Portrait (2:3)
- Wide (16:9)
