This section is only available in Expanse, Fetch and Gem.
The Split (optional slides) section is intended for creating slideshows that prioritize longer text content paired with smaller supporting images.
Adding the split (optional slides) section
- Log in to your Theme editor and navigate to the page you would like to display this section.
- You'll see a list of available sections on the left-hand side. Locate the Add section button and click on it.
- From the list of available sections, find and select Split (optional slides).
Section details
After adding the Split (optional slides) section, you will be presented with customization options and settings that you can adjust to match your store's style.
- Full page width: Makes the section span the full width of the page when enabled.
- Desktop height: Sets the height of the section when viewed on larger screens. You can select a value between 450px and 750px.
- Mobile height: Sets the height of the section on mobile devices, with options ranging from 350px to 650px to accommodate smaller screens.
- Slide navigation style: Sets the style used for the navigation arrows. This is only displayed if there are two or more slides.
- Auto-change slides: With this checkbox enabled, the slides will rotate automatically. If it is not checked, the user can go to the next slide by using the navigation arrows.
- Change images every: This horizontal slider determines how frequently the slides transition. You can set the timing anywhere between 5 and 10 seconds.
Slide block settings
The slideshow section can have 1-5 slides. Each slide block has the following customization options to add texts, images and call-to-action buttons.
- Heading: The largest text in the slide.
- Heading text size: Adjusts the font size of the heading text.
- Subheading or Text: Use this field to display supporting text or a brief description above or beneath the heading.
- Link: Adding a link here will route the customer to a particular page when the button is clicked.
- Button text: Text used for the slide button.
- Text position: Adjusts the text position within the slide (left or right). On mobile, the text always appears below the image.
- Image: Choose an image to show in the slide.
- Indent image: Adds spacing around the image when enabled.
- Color scheme: Determines the background and text colors for the section. Customize available color schemes in Theme settings > Colors.
