The Blog posts section displays the most recent entries from an assigned blog. This helps keep customers informed about your latest news and content.
Adding the blog posts section
- Log in to your Theme editor and navigate to the page you would like to display this section.
- You'll see a list of available sections on the left-hand side. Locate the Add section button and click on it.
- From the list of available sections, find and select Blog posts.
Section details
After adding the Blog posts section, you will be presented with customization options and settings that you can adjust to match your store's style.
- Heading: Sets the title or main heading for the section.
- Blog: Select the blog you want to feature in this section.
- Posts: Use the slider to choose how many blog posts to display.
- Show tags: Displays the tags assigned to each blog post. Tags can be added and managed when editing a post in the Shopify admin.
- Show date: Displays the publication date of each post.
- Show comment count: Shows the total number of comments for each post.
- Show author: Displays the name of the author who published the post.
- Show excerpt (Expanse, Fetch, Gem, and Streamline): Shows a short summary beneath the post title. To update the excerpt, edit the blog post in the Shopify admin and modify the excerpt field.
- Image ratio: Adjusts the size and shape of blog post images.
- Show ‘View all’ link: Adds a “View all” link that directs users to the full blog page.
