What is the footer?
The Footer section displays across the bottom of your store and provides space for navigation links, policies, contact information, and other supporting content. Use the available blocks and settings to customize what appears here.
Customize footer settings
In the theme editor sidebar, click the Footer section to open the section settings.

Impulse
Enable Show language selector to include a Language selector dropdown for customers to select their preferred language. Multiple languages must first be configured in Settings > Languages within your Shopify admin.
Activate Show country selector to include a Country selector dropdown for customers to select their region and currency. Enable Show currency flags to display the country flags in the dropdown. This works with Shopify Payments to provide support for Multi-currency.
Activate Show payment icons to display payment logos in the footer. The logos shown are based on the payment methods enabled under Settings > Payments in your Shopify admin. More details here.
Enable Show copyright to display the copyright information at the bottom of the footer. You can enter more details in the Additional copyright text field.
Block settings
These block settings are used to customize the content of each footer column. Click one of the preloaded blocks (Navigation, Newsletter and social, etc.) or add a new block by selecting (+) Add block.
To remove a block, open it, then select Remove block at the bottom of the sidebar. Each block includes a width setting that lets you control how many blocks appear per row on desktop.
Navigation block
Enabling Show heading adds a title at the top of the block using the selected menu’s name.
Click Select menu to assign a navigation menu to the block. Only top-level links from the menu will be shown.
Use the Column width setting to control the width of the block. Choose from 15 to 95%.
Custom text block
Turn on Show heading to display a title at the top of the block based on the Heading text provided.
Upload an Image to display within the block.
Add Text to include additional information within the block.
Use the Column width setting to control the width of the block. Choose from 15 to 95%.
Logo block
Upload a Logo image to display within the block.
Adjust the Logo height slider to set the logo size from 20 to 120 px.
Use the Column width setting to control the width of the block. Choose from 15 to 95%.
Newsletter and social block
This block adds a newsletter signup form to the footer along with social icons. The icons are displayed based on the social media links added under Theme settings > Social media.
Turn on Show heading to display a title at the top of the block based on the Heading text provided.
Add Text to include additional information within the block.
Use the Column width setting to control the width of the block. Choose from 15 to 95%.
Follow on Shop block
Displays a Follow on Shop button so customers can follow your store in the Shop app and get personalized recommendations and product updates. Shop Pay needs to be enabled for the button to show. Learn more here.

Expanse, Fetch and Gem
Choose a Color scheme to customize the section’s background and text colors. You can modify your color schemes in Theme settings > Colors.
Turn on Show newsletter signup to display the sign-up form at the top of your footer. You can use the Text field to add content to the left side of the form.
Enable Repeat main menu on mobile to display the header mobile menu within the footer section.
Enable Show copyright to display the copyright information at the bottom of the footer. You can enter more details in the Additional copyright text field.
Use the Policies menu to display links beside the copyright text. Keep in mind that only top-level links are displayed.
Block settings
These themes include a customizable Footer section that can display up to 6 vertical columns, based on the user’s screen size.

Navigation block
Use the Title field to add a heading for the block.
Click Select menu to assign a navigation menu to the block. Only top-level links from the menu will be shown.
Enable My account link if you want to include the account page in the list of links.
Image block
Click Select Image to assign an image to the block. Use the Image shape setting to keep the image’s natural size or crop it into a shape like square or star.
Use the Link field to make the image clickable and direct customers to a specific page.
Contact and social block
Use the Phone number field to display your store’s phone number as a clickable link. The Contact page field lets you add a link to your contact page, while Chat link adds a link to your chat widget page.
Turn on Show social icons to display the icons for the social media links you’ve added in Theme settings > Social media.
Payments and localization block
Activate Show payment icons to display payment logos in the footer. The logos shown are based on the payment methods enabled under Settings > Payments in your Shopify admin. More details here.
