How to display high-variant products and products using the Combined Listings app?

Shopify now supports over 250 product variants, giving more flexibility to manage complex product options. To handle this expanded limit efficiently, your theme includes a high-variant product template designed for better performance on large product pages.

The high-variant template is available for the following theme versions:

• Expanse 8.0.0

• Fetch 5.0.0

• Gem 5.0.0

• Impulse 8.1.0

• Motion 11.1.0

• Streamline 7.1.0

The high-variant template also works with Shopify’s Combined Listings app, making it easy to group similar products, like variations in color, size, or material, under one product page. You can learn more about the Combined Listings app in this Shopify article.

Note: The app is available only to merchants on Shopify Plus and Enterprise Commerce plans.

Follow these steps to assign the high-variant template to a product in your Shopify admin:

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Products.

2. Open the product you want to use with the high-variant template.

3. Find the Theme template dropdown.

4. Choose high-variant from the list.

5. Click Save.
